Spec Card

The spec card sets out cutter diameter, shank size, coating type and the material each bit is meant to run in. It also records spindle speed ranges, feed guidance and chip evacuation notes for common sheet and solid-stock jobs in South Africa. Use it at the machine and in stores so the right rainbow-coated tool goes out with the right collet and holder.

Care Card

A useful care card for CNC bits, holders, and machine-side handling on South African shop floors, written for crews who already know the work.

Install Checklist

Before fitting a new tool, this checklist runs through collet cleanliness, pull stud condition, holder runout and clamp security. It includes machine-zero checks, spoilboard condition and dust extraction readiness for daily setup. Keep it with the router or machining centre where tool changes and first-off inspections happen.

Shipping Note

The shipping note covers how cutters, inserts and machined parts should be packed for road freight around South Africa. Fragile edges need sleeve protection, small tooling needs labelled inner bags, and finished components need separation to prevent rub marks. There is also space for coating references, quantities and receiving checks on arrival.

Power Guide

Power requirements matter when routers, extraction units and compressors start together, especially on sites with voltage drop. Check supply capacity, plug and breaker suitability, and what needs verification before running spindle-heavy programmes. Crews should note phase type, extension limits and backup power constraints before a machine is loaded.

Media Guide

Good media from a CNC job should show the setup, the tool in use and the finish on the cut edge, not only the final part. Use lighting, angle choices, close-up shots of coating wear and short clips that capture chip flow and extraction performance. Include job number, material and cutter details so photos stay useful after the shift.

Safety Brief

This safety brief focuses on rotating tools, hold-down security, extraction hazards and handling sharp coated bits at the bench. It notes lock-out steps before tool changes, PPE for cutting dusty board products, and safe lifting around vacuum tables and sheet stock. Use it for inductions, toolbox talks and pre-start reminders near the machine.

Handoff Template

When a job moves from programming to cutting and then to dispatch, this handoff sheet keeps the key details with it. Record material thickness, approved toolpath version, cutter used, edge quality notes and any deviations found during the run. Sign-off blocks cover operator, inspection and packing so the next person gets the full picture.

Photo Protocol

The photo protocol explains which images help most when checking setup errors, chatter marks, edge breakout and coating wear. Start with a wide shot of the machine, then capture the holder, tool tip, workholding and the affected area on the part. Add a ruler or calliper in frame where size, depth or runout is being discussed.

Spare List

This spare list is built around the items that stop cutting when they are missing: collets, nuts, holders, inserts, backup bits and extraction consumables. It also covers touch plates, spoilboard fasteners, vacuum seals and common electrical items that get replaced during routine maintenance. Keep stock counts against each line so urgent jobs are not waiting on one small part.

Warranty Note

The warranty note sets out what is covered on supplied tooling and coating work, and what must be checked before a claim is logged. Damage from crashes, incorrect speeds, poor clamping or unsuitable material conditions needs to be separated from coating or manufacture concerns. Attach photos, run details and the original order reference when sending a tooling issue through.

Faq Floor

This FAQ sheet covers the questions that come up most often around cutter selection, rainbow-coated bits, chip evacuation, and everyday machine handling. It includes quick guidance for timber, plastics, and aluminium work in South African workshop conditions, with notes on collet checks, feed consistency, and wear signs worth watching.
