Export Line
A clear path for export-bound CNC work in South Africa, written for teams who already handle production.

Export packing and cut records
Export Line is for CNC work that must leave the floor with the right documents, packed parts and confirmed tooling records. Use it when the job is bound beyond South Africa and the handover needs to be exact.
Export jobs need more than a usable toolpath. Material grade, sheet size, cutter diameter, edge finish, and packing method must line up before parts move to dispatch. For South African workshops sending work out through Johannesburg, Durban, or Cape Town, crate labels and tooling notes matter as much as the final cut.
Add one machine photo and one image of the last failed edge, chip-out, or burr. Those references help tie spindle speed, feed rate, hold-down method, and bit condition to the actual problem on the router. A short handover note is then easier to file with the job card, inspection sheet, or export documents.
Records that travel with parts
Export Line centres the handover around what customs, packing teams, and receiving shops need to see. That can include the cutting method, tool used, material identification, revision status, and a simple check sequence before boxing. The result is a set of notes that follows the parts instead of staying at the machine.
If tooling changed mid-job, note the replacement bit and the pass where the issue started.
- Packing notes linked to cut data
- Tooling changes logged against each run
- Machine photos attached with export brief
South African export shop checks
Dispatch timing often sits around airport freight bookings, depot intake times, and the handoff between machining and packing. A router bed may be ready while cartons, corner protection, or labels are not, so the brief should state what leaves loose, wrapped, or crated. Where parts are headed beyond South Africa, dimensions and quantities need to match the packing list exactly.
Coastal humidity can affect stored cutters, raw board condition, and wrapped finished parts before collection. Inland dust puts extra focus on vacuum hold-down, rail cleaning, and the condition of collets before a long run. During power interruptions, restart notes should record the last completed sheet, tool number, and any offsets rechecked after power returns.

What to include in the brief
Brief Export Line with machine photos, required material, and what failed on the last cut. Keep the subject line clear.
Send the machine model, control software if relevant, material type, thickness, cutter specification, and photos of both the part and setup. Include the failed area from the previous cut, whether that was fuzzing on MDF, edge breakout on plywood, melted acrylic, or burrs on aluminium. If the consignment needs labelled bundles or part counts per carton, state that in the same brief.
